Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic in a beautifully played 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 final match to win the U.S. Open. Initially Djokovic had the upper hand after easily winning the second set with 6-3, which also included an unreal 54-shot rally. See the clip below:



But Rafa fended off a break point at 5-3 in the third set and collapsing after winning the match. As for Djokovic, all he had to say about his competitor was "He was too good."
