We have seen some computer code in movies, but what do they really mean? You'd be shock to find out what the code people in movies are looking at usually is.
Turns out it's just some gibberish on Wordpress or Wikiepdia. The image above shows The Doctor looking at a SVG file or a light wave taken from Wikipedia.
John Graham-Cumming collected a bunch of screen shots of computer code from movies and TV shows and made a tumblr out of it. He also went on to explain what the actors are really looking at.
Below is scenes from Terminator (he's looking at 6502 assembly language of an Apple II) and Elysium (code that is taken from Intel Architecture Software Developer's Manual Volume 3: System Development).
