Jun 25, 2014 18:37
Due to be available this Saturday via auction house Auctionata, HODINKEE points out this interesting vintage Rolex for a number of reasons. The watch exists as one of Rolex's always unique "pre-Daytona" designs with steel and yellow gold in favor of rose gold.
Powered by a calibre R 72 manual wind movement, the chronograph employs a silver dial, gold hands, and a case that measures 35mm in diameter and 12mm thick. Clapton’s unique timepiece will be available beginning Saturday, June 28 at 6:00 p.m. CET with a starting price of €50,000 EUR (approximately $68,000 USD) and an estimated valuation of €100,000 EUR (approximately $136,000 USD).
