Maison Martin Margiela and Converse First String debut their new footwear collection for spring/summer 2014. MMM plays with the same concept as its first collection, and has chosen the Chuck Taylor All Star 1970s Hi and Jack Purcell Ox as the canvases for this collaboration.

Instead of using last year's canvas uppers, MMM hand painted each of the letter uppers a clean white. The paint is designed to flake off with wear, to gradually reveal the bright leather base below. Both pairs will be available on May 23 at select retailers including End.
