How to Boost Your Sex Drive if You're On Antidepressants

About 96% of women who take antidepressants reported sexual side effects from the drugs. But a dwindling libido doesn't have to be even more reason to get you down. Exercising just half an hour before sex can alleviate the mood-killing effect of antidepressants, according to a new study in the journal Depression and Anxiety.
Researchers recruited 52 women who reported antidepressant-associated changes in sex drive, and randomly assigned them to one of two groups - one that exercised immediately before hooking up, or one that worked out at least six hours before sexy-time. After three weeks, the participants switched groups.
It turns out that working out right before sex was a successful move. Women who workout half an hour before sex had a significant boost in desire and were able to orgasm more easily.
Another surprising benefit for all the women was committing to regular sexual activity as part of the study, which suggests that making time for sex as a priority could aid in fighting antidepressant-related sexual side effects.
