Designer Benjamin Vermeulen has created a line of easy to assemble flat pack furniture. It doesn't require screws, nuts, bolts or any tool. It uses magnets!
Called MAG, it is short of Magnetic Assisted Geometry, and it includes a desk, chair and stackable modular storage cabinets that assemble, and stay together with magnets.
These magnets are also so strong they allow someone to sit on a chair without it collapsing. Will this concept ever go into production? Will it change how prefab works too? For now, IKEA is at no threat just yet. Check out the video below:
