If I could have a robot, I'd opt for TARS from Interstellar. It's not flashy or anything. It's just the perfect kind of robot companion you'd like to have. Designer Ian Heath has created the perfect replica. Check it out!
He started with a wooden frame first:
And after covering it with sheets of metal and spray painting TARS on it, he's on his way!
Heath put a camera in the front to help him see since he's controlling TARS from the back. Needless to say, it was a hit.
The replica uses two iPads as computer readouts and has a camera/monitor system so Heath can see its front. It has an audio system so he can talk to people with it.
