Schofield's new Blacklamp Carbon features a hand wound movement and still manages to glow in the night. This is thanks to a material developed by NASA called Moonglow. It glows much longer than all those glowing stickers you've seen before.
It features a small Tritium gas light, which is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that gives off a faint glow as it decays. The Moonglow runs all the way around the rim of the dial.
The Blacklamp Carbon is made of a newly developed material called Morta and it is based on carbon fiber. The watch is limited to 101 pieces and sells for over $16,000. Because you know, Moonglow don't come cheap. [
