The Armstrong Lie is directed by Alex Gibney, and it picks up the project that was first abandoned back in 2009 documenting Lance Armstrong's final comeback and his attempts to win an unprecedented eight Yellow Jersey.

Armstrong eventually admitted to the use of performance enhancing drugs, which led to an onslaught of hatred and scrutiny.
