This lovely 40-minute animated short by United Arab Emirates film-maker Mohammad Fikree is about a prince hunting down a horned beast, only to discover that it also happens to be a mysterious girl's best friend. Talk about awkward. Watch the trailer below:



The film is the first part of an eventual trilogy, and you can tell that a lot of work went into this project. Fikree says he even created a whole new language for the characters (which sounds kinda similar to Malay), but the film will have subtitles in English and Arabic.

Fikree also created a much shorter and less polished version of Girl & It for a film festival back in 2009. Watch it below:
