The Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit trailer is out. It was based off Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan character but not based on a particular novel. The movie stars Chris Pine, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley and is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

Clancy, who died earlier this week at the age of 66, has written eight novels that center around Ryan, but a movie based on the fictional hero hasn't been made in 11 years.

The latest version will hit theaters on Dec. 25.
