Once again, it's spoilers all over. So don't even scroll down to see any of this because it will shock you and your whole day will be ruined. Do not go any further! Turn back now!!!!!!!

So here's the thing about Game of Thrones. You never get too attached to characters. Because they can, and very possibly, end up dead.

Which means, they're not coming back anymore.

Last night's cliffhanger appears to show Jon Snow being stabbed to death.

He gets stabbed by members of the Night's Watch.

And then Olly the latest asshole everyone hates.

Kit Harrington, the actor behind Jon Snow, once told Entertainment Weekly that he's been told Jon Snow's dead and he's not coming back:

EW: I was talking to Dan Weiss and he said Jon is really dead. But George R.R. Martin left open the possibility the character might not be dead in the books. And then that cast salary contract story came out last year and it had your name among those receiving raises for Season 6 and an option on a seventh. So let me ask you: Is Jon really dead?

Kit Harington: This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, “Look, you’re gone, it’s done.” And as far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways. It’s going to put questions into your head and into fans’ heads that things are not what they are. Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, “This is how it is.” If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it — it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really.

But is Jon really dead? They've got to burn his body, otherwise he becomes a crazy unstoppable zombie.

Then, there's a popular fan theory saying that Jon was actually the son of Ned's sister, Lyanna Stark.

Ned didn't want to tell Jon about the affair between Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen, so he decided to stall.

Then in season 1, Daenarys was going to burn the body of Khal Drogo. She went into the fire herself, because she was sad.

Only to emerge unburnt and giving birth to three dragons.

Daenerys was messing with some blood magic to bring Khal back to life.

It's the same kind of magic that Melisandre uses.

And now, Melisandre is conveniently at the Night's Watch. And Jon's dead. Or is he?Some theories suggest that he's warged into Ghost.

But the big hint that he could very well return, but maybe not as Jon Snow per se, is because of Melisandre. Her return to the Wall seems oddly convenient. Did she realize her visions may have been wrong for rooting for Stannis?

She's been known to raise the dead, and has already done something like that earlier in the series. And even if she could, why would she bring Jon Snow back?

Theory has it that Jon might possibly be Azor Ahai reborn.

The story goes that a millennia before the series, White Walkers attacked the Seven Kingdoms, and were driven back by a single hero with a magical sword. Azor Ahai was that guy, and then later, the Wall was built as a defense. Now the White Walkers are back again and Azor Ahai has been reborn.

In the book, Melisandre has seen things involving Jon or Snow, and he too has a dream very similar to stories of Azor Ahai where he fights the White Walkers with a burning sword. But the best part of it goes back to a theory that Azor Ahai is presumed to be the descendant of the Mad King Aerys and Rhaella. R + L = J ONCE MORE.

So is Jon Snow dead? Probably. But he might just be reborn as Azor Ahai.

Season 6. Can't wait.
