#1 - In 1997, Nicolas Cage was to play Superman in Superman Lives but the movie got cancelled. That's why you never saw him wearing that Superman suit.
#2 - In the Superman comics, there is a pink kryptonite that makes superman a gay.
#3 - When George Reeves signed on to TV’s Adventures of Superman in 1951, he hated to make public appearances as the Man of Steel, because many kids could not differentiate between the television show and reality.
#4 - Superman was invented by Cleveland high school students, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. They sold the exclusive rights to Superman to DC in 1938 for only $130, and a contract to continue publishing stories.
#5 - British-born Lee Quigley, was portrayed as the infant Kal-El in 1978’s Superman, and he was just seven months old back then. He was the youngest victim of 'Superman Curse' as he was a troubled youth, and he went to live with his grandparents in London after his parents divorced. He died in 1991 at age 14 from solvent abuse of sniffing glue.
