This is as close as anyone of us will ever get to riding on those awesome speeder bikes shown in Star Wars. A company called Aerofex has announced that we'll soon be able to buy our own hoverbikes in 2017.
It all started back in 2011, when Aerofex debuted the Aero-X prototype via the video above.The company was immediately inundated with phone calls, emails, and messages from eager customers who wanted to get their hands on the vehicle.
And now, they are finally making those dreams come true. The commercial version of the Aero-X is basically a motorcycle-like hovercraft with the ability to hover 12 feet above ground and reach speeds up to 44 miles per hour.
The hoverbikes will retail for around $85,000; and those who want in now can put down a $5000 deposit to save a spot in line.
