The founders of Ghost Machine Comics planned to create stories set in unheard of genres that were beyond the superhero genre in which many of them had already worked with. Founders Frank and Johns released the first of two series conceived, Geiger: Ground Zero in 2021, which serves as a prequel to their 2024 part 2 miniseries of the same name.
