Walt Disney Co. will be celebrating their 91st anniversary in 2014. They've certainly been keeping busy... by buying up every single franchise that they can get their grubby little Mickey Mouse mittens on.



And since everyone has a price, it won't be long now until Disney pretty much owns just about everything on earth.

Pixar

January 2006: Walt Disney Co. purchases the animated studio led by Apple head Steve Jobs in a deal worth $7.4 billion.

Marvel

August 2009: Walt Disney Co. purchases comic book and action hero company Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion.

Dreamworks

2009: DreamWorks ditches Universal by entering into an exclusive distribution deal with Disney (at the cost of $250 million).

Lucasfilm

October 2012: The media giant purchases movie and TV production house Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion in cash and stock.

Indiana Jones

December 2013:m  Paramount signs over the distribution and marketing rights to all future Indiana Jones films.

Maker Studios

March 2014: Disney announces the acquisition of YouTube network Maker Studios for $500 million, along with a potential $450 million in performance-based earn outs.

Doraemon

May 2014: Walt Disney Co. acquires all U.S. English language rights to the iconic anime.
