It's no secret that search engines are sneakily keeping tabs on your search history. But if you want your secret searches to remain secret, then you might want to check out Disconnect Search.

This browser plug-in works by blocking traffic from third-party sites to certain servers like Facebook. Search queries are routed through their servers to appear as though they're coming directly from Disconnect. These will also be encrypted so they can't be seen by Internet service providers and other snooping parties.

Oppenheim, the company behind Disconnect, says it doesn't log keywords, personal information, or IP addresses. With 1.5 million active users, the company predicts they will only start making money once it doubles its current base. Learn more via the clip below:
