This is an unbelievably beautiful cavern inside Vatnajökull, Iceland's biggest glacier and it looks like this is where Superman set up shop for the Fortress of Solitude. These photos were captured by photographer Kate Friend, who took a stunning series of shots inside this 8,000-square-kilometer ice mass.

And the best part? No color correction needed in Photoshop. Vatnajökull is melting at a meter-per-year, so images like these are not only incredible, they're also going to be how we remember them for a long time to come.
