A recent study published in Psychological Science has found cheating may actually be helpful in boosting your creativity.
The
study involving five different experiments had participants performing
various tasks. The participants were also given an opportunity to
over-report their performance.
Based on the findings, those who
cheated performed more creatively on subsequent tasks, even when
accounting for individual differences in creativity.
Of course,
we're not endorsing that you start making plans on being a conman. But
if you're in need of a creative boost, maybe getting a little crafty
could be just the thing you need to get those creative juices flowing.
