The city of Cupertino has released updated plans for the next Apple campus. Designed by Foster + Partners, the 176 acre campus will aim to consolidate Apple's aging corporate facilities in a 2.8 million square foot circular structure.
The central four story structure is designed to hold 12,000 of the campus's 14,200 employees and will offer some state of the art meeting and office spaces. There's also some 60,000 square feet of dining space and an outdoor terrace.
There's going to be a lot of greenery around it too and it will be accompanied by a 100,000 square foot fitness center, a 1,000 seat auditorium, a parking garage accommodating 10,980 vehicles and 700,000 square feet of rooftop solar panels to power the building.
The campus is set to be completed in 2016.
