Here's a visualization that shows just how everyone across the world died in the entire 20th century. It's morbid, but it's also, quite surprising and a good read too.
The primary cause of dead is non communicable diseases, heart disease and diabetes. There were 177 million murders and 131 million deaths through war, all of which could have been avoided.
