We've already got a whole bunch of tools to help us lose weight. From Nike's Fuelband to apps that track our diet to exercise regimes, it seems that we've got a flurry of these things around. A company called Hapilabs wants to help you curb that weight with an advanced fork. It will encourage you to take your time while dining.
The fork is full of sensors that track when you start eating a meal, and when you stop and how many bites you take. It calculates the time taken between every forkful.
The ideal dining pace is a bite every ten seconds or so. So if you're swallowing your food instead, HAPIfork will use a capacitive system that will vibrate - reminding you to eat slower.
The fork can be washed, but leaving it soaked over night isn't recommended. The electronic core of the fork can be removed if you want to give it a good rinse. As of now, no pricing is stated - will see this in our kitchens?
