KARA’s Japanese fans have come together to start a fan petition during the group’s first concert at the Yokohama Arena on October 9th.

Volunteer petitioners started to gather signatures to make DSP Media allow Nicole to remain a part of KARA. The signature campaign is set to continue throughout KARA’s Japanese tour to seven different locations including Yokohama, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Nagoya. They plan to gather as many signatures as possible, and then pass them to DSP Media.

The petition started after Nicole expressed her hope to continue promoting with KARA even after her contract with DSP Media expires next January.

In addition, KARA’s contract with Universal Music, which is their Japanese distributor, will also expire in December. Fans are worried that Universal Music will not allow members with a different contract to work with KARA.
