Breaking the usual noontime release, IU will be unveiling her upcoming new album at midnight. According to Loen Entertainment, IU will release her third full-length album Modern Times' on October 8th at 12AM (KST). This marks the end of a year and 5 months hiatus for IU following her ‘Spring of a Twenty Year Old’ album release back in May 2012. Regarding on releasing the album at midnight, a representative explained, “Overall, the album has a jazz feel to it. So we decided that it would be better to listen it at night rather than during the day, thus we chose to release it at midnight.” In addition, IU will hold a comeback showcase on the same day at 4PM where she will be performing her latest tracks for the first time.
