SM and YG Entertainment win ‘Gold Play’ awards from Youtube

Top entertainment labels SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment both received the ‘YouTube Partner Gold Play’ awards from Youtube. On September 25, YouTube Pulse event was held in Hannamdong, Seoul, and SM and YG Entertainment were awarded ‘YouTube Partner Gold Play’. The award is given to official Youtube channels with more than one million subscribers. SM Entertainment’s official Youtube channel SMTOWN managed to reach a total of 3.6 million subscribers since it was launched in 2009. Three artists from YG Entertainment were also awarded as Psy has more than 6 million while Big Bang and 2NE1 each has 2 million and 1.7 million subscribers. The total number of subscribers on YG artists’ channels adds up to whopping 13.31 million.
