Here's something to consider before purchasing the overpriced iPhone 5S. According to NY Times reporter Nick Bilton, the phone used to be referred to as "the Kardashian phone" inside Apple headquarters at Cupertino way before the official release.

A source at Apple told me while they were making the gold iPhone it was referred to internally as "The Kardashian Phone."

The name was obviously used in jest and probably had to do with all the media rumors surrounding the device. Still, it's nice to know that even Apple doesn't always take itself so seriously.
