It all started last week with rumors about Lorde dissing Justin Bieber and the members of One Direction as "ugly" began spreading on Twitter. It didn't take long for the superfans to fire back by taking potshots at Lorde's rumored boyfriend, James Lowe.



Most of the tweets simply call Lowe ugly and/or express bewilderment at the coupling, but it didn't take long before the attacks took on a more racist tone. Basically, the whole thing is just proof that fans of these bands take their idols way too seriously.
