Angelina Jolie received an honorary Oscar - the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the fifth annual Governors Awards. Her acceptance speech is one heck of a touching one.
She spoke about her mother who inspired her to do work that has meaning. She told her son Maddox, as he was watching, that she wasn't going to cry.
"I won't embarrass you" — but she did get very emotional as she acknowledged that if her mother were alive, she would be proud of her.
"My love," she said to Brad Pitt, "your support and your guidance make everything I do possible." To Maddox she said, "you and your brothers and sisters are my happiness."
