The Modern Family star posted the jibe on her Instagram account after Sunday night's Emmys. Her caption read: "Miley cyrus this is where the twerk was invented. Colombia!"
Cyrus' dance moves were also part of the Emmys' opening sketch, where Tina Fey and Amy Poehler begged host Neil Patrick Harris to twerk.
