An 11-year-old wants Justin Bieber to say sorry for his poor use of grammar. So she wrote an open letter that was posted by his teacher. It soon went viral and here we have it. The letter indicates that Bieber should have a better command of the subjunctive mood so that this lyric couldn't exist:
Posted by a teacher who was very, very proud of her student, the
11-year-old's letter goes on to correct Bieber's choice in wording; that
it should be "If I were your boyfriend" and not "was." Check out the letter:
"If current performers such as Beyoncé can write a song using the subjunctive mood correctly, so must you." The letter states.
