Palmistry is surely something of a pseudo-science. It's not proven with today's standards and tests, but it has been around for a very long time. It's even one of the oldest studies in the world, noted in the book of Job and still practiced quite widely today.

While it has evolved over time, one basic precept has remained: the significance of the letter M.

The letter M is created through lines on the palm called the heart, head, and life lines.

Karmic Palmistry: Explore Past Lives, Soul Mates & Karma by Jon Saint-Germain writes that those born with the letter ‘M’ on their palm are highly motivated and blessed with self-discipline. They are generally extraordinarily gifted in their careers, which are often grounded in journalism, writing, or education. For this reason they are also drawn to management positions, and thus more likely to make large sums of money.

They are also exceedingly good judges of character, and are supposedly skilled at seeing straight through lies.

One caveat though, the M has to be on the opposite hand than the one you write with. No word on what happens if you're ambidextrous.
