Meet 54-year-old Jennifer Connell. She's the face of an aunt you never ever want to invite to any party. Including, a children's party. She attempted to sue her 12-year-old nephew for $127,000 after he gave her an enthusiastic greeting hug that caused her to fall down.
She suffered a "traumatic event" at her nephew's 8th birthday party 4 years ago. She claims he was negligent when he jumped into her arms, knocking her over, breaking her wrist.
The hardest thing for her to do: “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate.”
The judge took only 25 minutes to rule in Sean, her nephew's favor. “He was an 8-year-old boy being an 8-year-old boy… Sean was not negligent.”
I mean, how crazy of a person do you have to be to sue a kid?
