Cooking the perfect steak is both art and science. But if you have some cheap cuts, you'll want to work on them a little more to make them a tad more perfect. While some cuts end up tender and juicy no matter what, here's a good tip to make even the cheaper cuts taste heavenly.

Make shallow cuts across the grain one way.


Just cut about 1/8 of an inch deep.


Then season your steak normally and then toss it on the grill.


This will allow your steak to cook more evenly and be more flavorful because the cuts will be filled with seasoning.
