Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned. But in China, instead of going Taylor Swift-Blank-Space on their husbands who cheated on them, Chinese wives are hiring thugs to go after their husbands' mistresses instead.
Problem solved:
Cheating on your spouse isn't a good idea, especially if you're in China. Wives are reportedly paying anything from $500 to $16,000 to beat, scare, and even mutilate their cheating husbands' mistresses.
These services are advertised online even apparently!
The level of brutality increases with the price. For $16,000, thugs will throw acid, or even cut the skin off a mistresses' face.
Sounds too absurd?
“Sometimes, though, the girl is from a really poor family. These are the most likely to want to stay with their married man, because they really have no other way to make money.
“If it comes to it — if the girl will absolutely not give up the man—then we must take a different approach. We must make it so that the man finds her less attractive.”
Most mistresses are scared off easily with verbal threats, but the stubborn ones stick around like herpes.
Why not just divorce that lousy man in the first place?
