Half of Married Couples Don't Know THIS About Their Spouse

A study ran by Fidelity, suggests that married couples may not know each other inside out. Because there's one thing that most of them hide from one another. In fact over 45% of partners don't know this detail about their spouse.
They don't know how much their spouse makes. 4 out of 10 married people can't say which salary range their partner belongs.
There are two possible explanations: one is the rise of self-employment, project based income and contracting work, and salaries tied to stock performance may explain their partner's inability to identify how much they make.
Or third: they would rather not be entirely honest about how much they make, simple as that.
Does this affect the quality of the relationship? What do you think?
