Contouring is one of those magical makeup techniques that will do wonders for you. But contouring is not for everyone. It's actually pretty hard to do, not to mention time consuming. Enter strobing. The easier makeup technique cousin.

Contouring has been the trend for a while now.

It can really sculpt a face with makeup.

But it's also hard work. And not everyone can get it right.

Now, Instagram is giving up on contouring. It's moving on to 'strobing' now.

Strobing is different because all you need is a highlighter.

No more darker color and lighter color to chisel your face. Just dab it on your cheekbones, bridge of your nose and lips.

Strobing is so much easier, and brightens up your face.

In all honesty, it makes a person look very fresh too.

It's also harder to mess up than contouring.
