Zappos recently gave its employees a choice. In March, CEO Tony Hsieh sent a company wide memo offering employees three months' pay to quit if they were not happy with the changes that will be taking place in the company.
Hsieh proposed a change from the traditional model of running a company using a top-down approach, to a concept called holocracy.
