Claira Hermet lost her mother and sister to breast cancer, so she decided to make the odds in her favor by undergoing a double mastectomy to reduce the risk. She threw a boob-themed party to say goodbye to her 32DDs.

It was amazing and hilarious at the same time.


She also posted a video hoping it would help those living with or are at high risk of developing breast cancer to rationalize their fears and feel empowered.


There was drinking, dancing, celebrating and feeling loved and supported.


She wrote: "One thing I have learnt is that we get this life once," Hermet wrote in a blog post. "I've spent a lot of it feeling sad and unhappy. My sister's death was a turning point. She doesn't have her life but I have mine. I have and will continue to strive to make my life one of happiness, positivity and purpose."
