How far do you know about sperm or the 'little swimmers'? Here are some of the facts that might get your shocked.
#1 A guy's health affects his sperm
A recent study shows that men under 40 year-old have healthier sperms, and they can be healthier in men who avoid things like smoking, alcoholic drinks, high-fat diet, and other environmental toxins.
#2 They are faster than you think
According to a board-certified urologist at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Harry Fisch, M.D., the first ejaculation contains the highest concentration of sperm, and they swim faster than a Ferrari.
#3 Regular Sex and Masturbation Won't Reduce Sperm Production
Keep this in mind. A guy's sperm will never have a limited production. Frequent ejaculation may lower the volume but having a normal sperm count shouldn't make much of an impact.
#4 Sperm sticks around longer than you think
Sperm can stay up from 5 to 7 days in a women's body as long as the cervical mucus is sperm-friendly because the mucus protects the sperm and helps it stay longer in the body around ovulation when the women are at their most fertile stage.
#5 Temperature lowers down sperm count
Sperm count tends to be the lowest during hot days, and highest when the weather is very cold. The decrease of sperm count can last for months after the exposure to high temperature.
