Scientists have done a lot of studies on the fascination with breasts, because for some reason, we can never get enough of them. Here are some scientific studies worth mentioning about boobs. Check it out:

1. Nipple stimulation will make you feel closer to your partner

According to a 2012 study, men may have learned, as part of evolution, that by stimulating a woman's nipple, the woman is more inclined to feel attracted and connected to her partner.

2. Some women achieve orgasm from nipple stimulation alone

Though quite rare, a 2009 study says that 29% of the 213 women studied achieved orgasm from nipple stimulation alone. While the same size is indeed small, but science says that women's brains process genital and nipple stimulation in the exact same way.

3. Men have nipples and breasts because they were females first as fetuses

Every fetus starts as female, until week six when testosterone starts to take hold.

4. The largest bra size is an L, and the smallest is a AAA.

It was previously KK, but we suppose L is much bigger. Backaches!

5. Scientists do not know why women have full breasts all the time

Full breasts are for when women are breastfeeding. We see that in primates, but after they're done, they quickly shrink back down. But in humans, even when we're not breastfeeding, they're full! Thank goodness for that, though.

6. Ancient Roman women wrapped bandages around themselves to keep their boobs in place while they worked out.

How else would they have done it?

7. Breastfeeding can have long-term benefits for moms, including lowering risks of heart disease and cancer.

It also helps moms lose baby weight, and lowering the chances of postpartum depression. Plus there's a fantastic bond with the baby when breastfeeding.

8. It also makes the mother more attune to her own child’s crying.

9. Corsets went out of style during World War I, when the army needed more steel and asked women to give them up.

Corsets would have been very uncomfortable and unfashionable today.

10. 4 million new bras are produced every day.

That's a lot of bras.

11. A 2013 study found men who prefer large breasts are less financially secure.

Men who are hungry prefer large breasts. If they are in the mood for fatherhood, they also prefer larger breasts.

12. The same study found that men who prefer small breasts are more financially secure.

Poorer men preferred larger breasts, while those who were financially well off preferred smaller ones.

13. If you sleep facedown, it can change the shape of your breasts over time.

It won't happen overnight, but do this long enough for years and it could change the shape. Sleep on your side to avoid this.

14. There are eight different types of nipples.

Oh so many!

15. The average woman wears a 34DD sized bra, though that's according to lingerie retailer Intimacy

Breasts have grown a lot in the past 20 years.

16. 85 percent of women are wearing the wrong size

It's always hard to get the right size.

17. Exercise might cause breast pain

A study says it is normal for them to hurt while exercising, so wearing the right kind of gear is always advised. Breasts also bounce a lot during exercise which stretch supportive ligaments, which cause boobs to sag.

Breasts: there was so much you didn't know.
