17 year Axelle Despiegelaere got herself a modeling contract from L'Oreal when she was spotted in the World Cup cheering on the Belgium team. Sounds like a great story, but then after signing and completing a promotional video, she later posted a picture of her with a dead gazelle she killed with her riffle on Twitter.
Too bad she forgot to use discretion because L'Oreal isn't too happy with this and has immediately distanced themselves from her by canceling her contract. That was quick. Really quick.
The caption read: “Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It’s much more important than that..this was about 1 year ago…ready to hunt Americans today haha.”
Axelle apologized in the comments section of her post, saying “i didn’t mean to offend anyone..it was a joke.”
Although the spokesperson said L’Oreal is aware of the photograph, it would not comment on whether it was the reason behind the decision to cut Axelle’s contract.
What a shame, because she could have been famous for the right reasons.
