Meet Baloo the bear, Shere Khan the tiger, and Leo the lion. These apex predators really aren’t supposed to get along, but thanks to a nonprofit animal sanctuary called Noah’s Ark, they are now the unlikeliest best friends on the planet.

According to HLNTV, the three cubs were rescued from during a 2001 drug raid. The plan was to raise them separately, but the cubs refused to eat and became noticeably depressed.  It was only after the staffers decided to place them in the same enclosure that they began to thrive.

Currently, these unlikely best friends can be found living peacefully in a 2.5-acre enclosure with a natural waterway and a log cabin filled with hay.  This is the only known case of three huge predators living in such close proximity.
