So actress Cobie Smulders stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman the other day to talk about her role in Captain America. But the late night talk show host only had one thing on his mind: what will happen during the HIMYM finale?



While Smulders did her best to keep the ending under wraps, she did tell Letterman on how the show's creators planned the ending when the show started back in 2005:
"They had actually planned the ending during our pilot," Smulders said. "They shot some scenes with the two children…who are now in their mid-20s. It's kind of amazing that it's been nine years, and it's come full circle."
When you really think about it, it's kind of sad that the show is really over.
