Vanessa-Mae: Olympic athlete by day, Violinist by night

You don't often see stuff like this happening: Olympian by day, violinist by night. That's the summary of Vanessa-Mae's life.
Vanessa-Mae began her music career as a violin playing child prodigy. She's sold many records and even played on Janet Jackson's album Velvet Rope in 1997. But Vanessa also loved skiing, and she fulfilled her dream of skiing in the Olympics.
Vanessa-Mae participated in the 2014 Sochi Olympics representing Thailand. While she finished near the bottom, it's still an amazing feat nonetheles. She says:
"It's my first Olympic Games where I'm also going to be here not only as an artist but as an athlete, and to be there during the parade of nations was one of the most memorable moments of my life. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to represent Thailand. I think that when I saw the opening ceremony, I understood the coming together of not just one country but every country together,” Vanessa-Mae remarked.
