China's smog is choking its tourists. It's gotten so bad that hotels have started giving out gas masks to guests to use during their stay.

Redditor Mthomaseddy posted this picture of an elegantly packaged gas mask. It was waiting for him when he arrived at the Shanghai Fairmont.

I shudder to think that this could be our future. Will everyone be wearing gas masks when they go out? Something's gotta be done about that smog. And soon.
