Mindy Kaling Is Totally Unfazed About That Whole ELLE Magazine Thing

Elle magazine just can't seem to catch a break. For its February 2014
Women in TV Issue, the fashion mag decided to award several covers to
funny ladies like Zooey Deschanel, Amy Poehler, Allison Williams, and
Mindy Kaling. And apparently, fans of the creator and star of Fox's
sitcom "The Mindy Project" weren't too pleased with the results.
Unlike the other covers, Mindy's was shown as closely cropped and black and white. Her other comedienne peers on the other hand were given full-color and full-body shots.
Critics proceeded to bash the mag's decision, saying that the cover was picked for Mindy because she was "not white and skinny."
The magazine has since defended their actions by releasing this statement to E! News:
"Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV Issue."
And even Mindy herself didn't understand why everyone was making such a big deal over the cover. She tweeted:
I love my @ELLEmagazine cover. It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me.
