This diverse apartment designed by M2 Design Studio was for a client who has been living and having careers in a few places around the world, but one day wanted to come back and settle down in his country.
Located near the sea in Varna, Bulgaria, the apartment is part of an old fully reconstructed building which is a protected architectural monument. The brief required a design scheme that includes a Bulgarian spirit that would amaze guests. Green and deep red were two must-have colors for the new project.
The architects say: “Our main focus was to have handmade furniture, lamps, decorative objects, beams and natural materials that would create a cozy and warm feeling in the apartment. We designed many objects specifically for this project: the wall panels with circle motifs, the night lamps and the coffee table. The Lace wall panels and mirror were inspired from an old flower lace I found made many years ago from my grandmother“.
