This House Was Revamped From Ground Up, With Plastic

This house is old, but new. It was completely revamped from 2010 to 2013 by architects Alessandra Armando and Manfredo di Robilant. They stripped away a majority of its aging materials and replaced them with..plastic.
The reason for it is the panels that coat the exterior make the house extremely energy efficient, and are filled with insulation that locks in warm air in winter and cool air to circulate in summer. This house will create lower power bills.
