New Wave Architecture has built this magnificent rock climbing hall within the rocky lands of Mazandaran in Iran. Located in Polur, it overlooks the country's highest peak, while inviting nature and landscape to "visually creep into the building" to offer daylight.

Inside, the "boulder-like walls" were inspired by the geological process of large-scale movements of the earth's crust and tectonic forces. The center offers programs that include a dynamic climbing hall, temporary accommodation zone, fitness gym, and maintenance areas.

But the more exciting part about the building is its exterior, which is clad with fiber cement panels that simultaneously allows the building to blend into the snowy context while offering outdoor climbing routes.
