In the future, you might just be getting inked by a 3D printer. A team of students replaced the extruder of a Makerbot Replicator with a real tattoo instrument and transformed it into a fully functional tattoo machine.
The 3D Printer X Tattoo Machine was part of a Public Domain Remix event hosted by the French Ministry of Culture. Would you dare get tattooed by a machine?
One of the benefits is that you don't have to wait, or if you have a design that's in Photoshop, it would be easy to just get the machine to do it for you. At the comfort of your home perhaps?
Sounds like a fantastic piece of tech, but we're doubtful it would ever be adopted.
